Miauuuu, Feline fans!

Since it was the birthday of the King of Pop yesterday and my Mom is a great fan of his I am kindly allowing her to post a birthday greeting to the man himself on my blog.

I have been promised culinary delights if I allow her to do this so… This of course made it an easy choice even though you all know how I feel about trespassers….

So, Mom, this post is yours.Make the most of it!

And I will go and sample some DELICIOUS treats in the kitchen.

Dear Herkules,

You are soo sweet to let me write a little something to Michael here. Here is my tribute:

Dedicated to Michael Jackson

on his birthday 29th of August 2012

Do you rememember?

Do you rememeber?

Do you , do you, do you?

Of course you remember the time

When he moonwalked

That glittery glove across the globe,

When he held that breathtaking pose on his toes,

Singing all the colours of the wind

In your ear,

Shifting your consciousness into top gear.

Do you remember?

Do you remember?

Do you? Do you?

Of course you remember the time

Of those giant stage conversations of his

From Victory via Dangerous to HIStory

Causing so much emotion and commotion

Peter Pan in tight Gold Pants on his

roller coaster ride to Hall of Fame

Michael Joe Jackson

It’s all in your name

And here is one of my favourite tracks which I think you will enjoy too, Herkules. It’s about Butterflies, those fluttery things that you find so fascinating:

My MOM and Charlie Chaplin are lying on the floor playing a few rounds of Crazy 8! I am lying on Selma’s cusihion watching the  games in a laid back manner… Yes, I know I am trespassing and she is giving me some real nasty looks but hey, Selma, I am just warming the cushion up for ya! Give me a big smile, big sista!

Monday evenings IN PARTICULAR always take out the laid back in my feline nature..

Now where were we, feline followers? Ok, card games….

Actually I have never played cards so I think will just observe and see what I can pick up in case I want to give it a try sometime. Give Charlie a match LOL!

Poker face is important when playing cards!

But how is the game getting along? Guess you guys are curious…

Well, after three rounds Charlie has won EVERY TIME!! It is amazing how skilled he is already seeing that  he is completely new to Crazy 8.

The 8 is the most powerful card in this game so you need to get hold of them and use them skillfully.Charlie has played some Texas Paw Em before and has done pretty well so I guess he is just a natural when it comes to card games. Charlie is an incredibly smart little guy being an Aries. He has  self confidence IN SPADES ( haha)  and I am proud to see him handling his game like a pro! Go, Charlie, go!

OOOOPS! Shouldn’t have said that bcoz he heard me say “Go” and now he is racing round the house!

I  must say I find a deck of cards pretty fascinating and you can of course have loads of fun playing with 52 cards all over the floor…hmm the couch, the carpets, behind and under the furniture……. And that’s not counting the jokers—

Time for me to play a game of “TOSS EM” IN THE AIR AND SEE WHERE THEY LAND. And then I will hide all the 8s behind the sofa.

I wonder if our MOM will enjoy this new game…

Perhaps not. I think I will join the crazy 8s behind the sofa…. Byeeee!

Dear Feline followers,

I am soooooooooooo tired today coz I was up late with my Mom and Charlie Chaplin and SelmaViktoria watching the closing thingy at the London Olympics. But it was worth it since there were so many fun things for us felines to have purr-i-liscious times  with. And for or felinesque Mom? Well her favourite singer  Freddie Mercury showed up so she was THRILLED! Of course Freddie  is dead but he can evidently sing from the grave! Awesome, right???

Anyways, watching the ceremony I got really EXCITED when I saw these dudes in silly hats marching along on stage:

WOW! The furry hats! So cozy! A catnap snuggling up into one of those would be divine. Definately my cup of tea in the comfortable bedding department!!! Perhaps if I am a good boy Santa will give me one for Christmas.

Now Charlie suddenly got very excited when he saw this floating thru the air:

It’s like a giant feather wand, isn’t it? Imagine the fun we could have flipping this with our paws. Charlie’s claws kept going in and out with purrrfect delight at the thought of it! And I can see that those strings in the dude’s  boots would be great fun to play with. definately chewable too…. Yes, loads of fun for us both with this amusing guy!

Now we all love a bit of sparkle and excitement and this is what  the arrangers so thoughtfully provided here:

Sparkles snowing from the sky -so pretty! Ì felt quite mesmerized. Selma was eating a piece of cheddar but when she saw this going on she suddenly stopped chewing and just STARED intently at the screen.  Selma – I think I’m gonna start  calling  you Selma In the Sky with Diamonds….Purrrrr….

And all those flags waving…I feel I want to stand up on my hind legs and carry one. Hmmm, wonder which sport I would have gotten gold in?

Herkules is the name of a superhero so it’s gotta be something powerful for both mind and body. Wrestling is quite fun and I and Charlie often indulge in this activity. problem is Charlie is stronger than me so he always manages to pin me down on the floor. Well, not ALWAYS perhaps. I usually manage to escape and go and hide under the bed!  Perhaps horseback riding would be a better option. I really like the idea of being in charge of such a large animal:

And what flag would I be carrying? I think the Welsh one since my Mom is half Wesh. It has such a pretty red dragon on it which would make me stand out in a crowd. Mmmm, getting a bit sleepy, off to dreamland seeing myself riding a horse carrying a Welsh flag. Oppps! I found one with a horsey! Even better!

Hi there, my feline fanciers!

As you all very well know we felines HATE  the rain! But as we three are indoor cats we don’t often get rained upon , thank goodness. So we don’t need raincoats, wellingtons or brollies like the two-legged ones do! It would be expensive since we would need two pairs of boots each for a start. And holding an umbrella in one of our front paws sounds such a tedious business, don’t you agree? I wonder how the two-legged ones put up with all this para-plui-phanelia!

Anyways, guys, this summer has been pretty rainy in our particular corner of the world. My Mom had mislaid her brollie so one Sunday afternoon she set forth in pursuit of a new one. She told me she wanted one with leopard spots. Something like this:

I nodded my head in approval, licked my paw in a leisurely fashion and went back to sleep on a soft white fluffy cushion.

After a few hours she burst in through the front door. I rushed to greet her as my stomach was SCREAMING for food. I stroked myself leisurely around her legs and started to purr. She bent down and chucked me under the chin. But hang on, what was that smell? And what was that black stuff on her jeans?

NOT CAT HAIRS, surely??????

I quickly withdrew into a corner to process this unsettling information. And I gave her a piercing look, the kind of piercing look only I am capable of in my most Herkulean moments. She got the message and then she told me what had happened.

Apparently when my Mom  was strolling along by the castle she suddenly spotted a black cat. A lady was coming along with a dog and the cat looked real scared. He stood shaking  on a small bridge and was very close to the edge  increasing his risk of falling into the water below. The dog lady shouted to my Mom that she would remove herself and the dog so that the cat would feel safe. My Mom caught the cat and managed to get hold of  the telephone  number to the owner that was attached to the cat’s necklace. The cat was black with some white and had a small bend in his tail. He was very friendly so my Mom decided to take him to her Mom’s place which was close by and give him some food and water while waiting for the owner to phone back. At this point in the story  I thought that it was a shame she hadn’t brought the kitty cat back here as he sounded like a real cute and interesting guy. Perhaps he and I and Charlie could have become close “buddies”.

Anyways, the kitty enjoyed a hearty meal and a good drink of water and lay down and washed himself on my Mom Mom’s kitchen floor. Shortly afterwards the two-legged who owned the cat turned up and now Hook is back home again. Happy ending!

But where is your new brollie, Mom? Well, the shops are closed by now so brollie will have to wait for another day. Instead of buying a  felinesque brollie she found and rescued a real live kitty. Well done,Mom, you are the best!

And now I want something real nice to eat, thank you! I feel that the odd shrimp or two wouldn’t go amiss! My new yoga pose is bound to impress!
